Tom & Jerry Drink Batter

I got this recipe from Michelle MacDonald and Park City’s Minnesota Mafia.

Ingredients

  • 1 dozen eggs, separated
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1-1/2 lb. powdered sugar (yes, that says lb.)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Boiling water
  • Rum
  • Brandy
  • Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. In a huge bowl, whip egg whites with a mixer until stuff. Add sugar and cream of tartar to egg whites.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites. Add powdered sugar and vanilla.
  3. Combine mixtures and freeze immediately to the mixture does not separate. Freeze at least overnight.
  4. When ready to serve, add 1/2 shot each of rum and brandy to one scoop of batter and boiling water. Stir and top with nutmeg.
