
Sugar Cookies

Ingredients
- 4 cups sifted flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg. Set aside.
- In an electric mixer bowl, beat butter, sugar, egg until light and fluffy.
- At low speed, beat into sour cream and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually add flour
- Form dought into ball and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- On well-floured surface roll dought (in four parts) 1/4" thick
- Flour cookie-cutter - place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart
- Sprinkle top of cookies with sugar.
- Bake 10-12 minutes, or until golden.
