For Maple Nut Chiffon Cake

Ingredients
- 2-1/2 heaping Tablespoons flour
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup Crisco (no substitutions; you won't get the right consistency with butter)
- 1 cup sugar
- flavoring, if desires (quantity?)

Instructions
- Blend flour and milk well until smooth. Cook in a saucepan over low heat until thick, stirring all the while. Cool.
- In another bowl, beat together with a mixer Crisco and sugar until fluffy. Add cooked flour. Use the mixer again to beat well.
- Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of whatever flavoring you desire.
- Tip: Add maple flavoring to frost the Maple Nut Chiffon Cake. Also for that cake, consider increasing the recipe to be sure you have ample frosting for the cake.
